Lady Toriel |
One day, a human falls into the Underground. Toriel's son, Prince Asriel, takes her with her and is treated as part of the family. Later, the human becomes seriously ill. The next day, he dies. Asriel uses the soul of the human to leave Mt. Ebott, entering a nearby town and places the body of the human on a plain of Red Flowers that grew in the center of town. The humans of the town thought that Asriel had assassinated to the infant and it had attacked it with everything what they had until finally, Asriel dies crossed by a spear in the side. Asriel returns wounded to the Underworld, where he finally collapses in the throne garden and dies falling into dust on the flowers.
In an attack of rage and sadness for having lost two children in one day, Asgore declares war on humans, but Toriel does not accept this behavior and chooses to retire to the Ruins. She receives another six humans, and all fulfilled the same fate; They left the Ruins and were killed. For a long time, Lady Toriel has forged the armor of the other six fallen humans, based on the personality or trades of each one. By the time the seventh Human, Frisk, came to the Underground, she had created an armor without knowing anything about it and placed it on a stone at the entrance to the ruins.
Lady Toriel saves Frisk from Flowey, healing him from the damage caused by the cruel flower. After introducing himself, he directs the fallen human through the first rooms of the ruins. Encourage the protagonist to try to talk to the monsters to avoid fighting.
As a magic user, she gives the Human a crystal ball before separating, in order to keep in touch with each other. Toriel goes further into the ruins, telling the Frisk to stay where he is. She calls him frequently and is about to call again when she finds the human in her own home.
Lady Toriel is willing to take care of the protagonist, but when he finally asks about how to get out of the ruins, he will go down the stairs heading for the exit of the ruins. Frisk follows the trail, she will explain that she will destroy the entrance to the subway to prevent her from leaving and dying, as well as the other humans who had previously been murdered for leaving the safety of the ruins.
Lady Toriel blesses the protagonist. |
For this illustration, the sword was going to be made of wood, but with black and white it was not going to be noticed. Why wooden sword? because in Undertale, Frisk finds the toy knife in the ruins, in this case, Noble Knight Frisk finds the training sword that is made of wood. Then during the event against of King Asgore, find the sword under the name of Tizona and a necklace with the shape of a heart. And Toriel is the representation of Queen Elizabeth 1, strong and capable of everything. Also a representation of Esther: pious, brave and wise. In the medieval times it was normal to receive blessings from the church or maidens, more than anything in fantasy.
Lady Toriel is a very kind and motherly monster that really cares about Frisk and his well-being. He also has a hard personality and a cold relationship with Asgore.
She is of the Sorcerer class, therefore she is a fire magic user, she usually communicates with others through Crystal Balls. She also has the skills with the forge, she creates armor with her magic fire and the hammer that she once used as a weapon.
Toriel enjoys cooking. Many of their recipes use snails as the main ingredient, as well as their favorite food, which is the snail cake. Also Toriel has always wanted to be a teacher to teach other children how to use magic.
